In Search of. . .

some new lotion for my girls. We live in a really dry climate. Lotion is essential, especially in the winter. I've tried a few different kinds that I found at Walmart, but they have either been too greasy or too stinky.

I need some help. What lotions do you use for your kids? Brands? Scents? Where do you buy it?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

okay so I love bodyshop lotions and they just came out with a line especially for kids they are great, kinda expensive though. Look into body butter in tubs at walmart they are about as good as the body shop body butter!

We love the typical Johnson's baby lotion that moisturizes with aloe vera & vitamin E. It isn't the the pink kind- it is the green lid one. I also use Shea body lotion made by "Tree Hut"... coconut lime! YUM! YUM! Hope that helps!

Have you tried the Eucerin Calming Creme like I use? You introduced me to that. I really love it!

I love "Method Baby" found at Super Target...or online too. I use it on Lauren and Kristen both.

Great smell, the body wash made Kristen's skin noticeably softer after the first use... So for this I would recommend the body and hair wash...Also they have a Method kids line but I haven't tried it yet.
For the lotion, I used Curel ultra-healing tonight on my girls REALLY dry skin tonight and It seems to work pretty well. It's also my best pick for my hands. It's a bit spendy but get it at Walmart and you'll save money. It was recommended by 2 different friends as their favorite lotion. Not too greasy and actually soaks in and feels moisturized. There's hardly any scent so that's a bonus for sensitive skin.
I hope this helps! I personally love B& B works also but not for my really dry skin, just mainly for scent. Also the Walmart body butters don't compare to the FABUILOUS body butters at The Body Shop. You'll spend more money, but love it that much more too! I've done years worth of research in the body care department...do you remember my drawers full of lotion??? I hope this helps!
Also...sorry this is turning into a book, but it might help to use a little pouf to scrub their dead skin in the bath...this will help the lotion soak in better.

Our girls have super dry skin so we use Baby Aveeno, it is everything free. There is no scent. When they were really young we used Huggies with Shea Butter to keep them moist :)

My boys have major sensitive skin and dry spots,so we have been using Baby Aveeno. The one I like in particular is "Soothing Relief Moisture Cream" it has a dark navy lid. Their doctor also said in spots that are really bad to put Hydracortizone cream 1% on it before the lotion.(Check on age if you do this, I don't remember how old Brenden was when we started that.) Lotions that have frangrance in them iritate my kids skin so we stay away from frangrance.
